HOW TO PREPARE FOR PRELIMS?
Hello all,Prelims is crucial part for deciding your success in this journey of civil services exam . Generally you will hear lot of people saying first prepare for prelims than prepare for mains, but it is not the right way. If any aspirant is doing so he/she is bound to fail in the civil services exam. you will never come across any topper saying that i first prepared for prelims than mains.
here, Question arises if its not the right strategy, than how to plan civil services exam preparation.
ANS--- PLAN YOUR STRATEGY HOLISTICALLY , I MEAN DON'T DIVIDE/SEGREGATE YOUR PREPARATION IN PRELIMS,MAINS AND INTERVIEW.
From the above statement, i mean that prepare in such a way that whatever you study, study it in such a way that you cover it from all perspective means from PRELIMS+MAINS+INTERVIEW perspective.
NOW, the second question is how to start CSE preparation,
this i have already answered in FAQ'S section. please go and check there.
BUT, FOR BOOKLIST PURPOSE AND FOR EASE OF STARTING THE PREPARATION, I AM SEGREGATING PRELIMS+MAINS+INTERVIEW , THESE BOOKS ARE ALSO RELEVANT FOR MAINS.

ECONOMICS-- DUTT&SUNDARAM, RAMESH SINGH (any one, you can refer)
HISTORY-- BIPAN CHANDRA-HISTORY OF MODERN INDIA(it is old ncert).
ENVIRONMENT-- SHANKAR IAS*
SCIENCE & TECH-- RAVI P AGRAHARI TMH PUBLICATION*
NOTE-* means these books are to be referred only if you have time (2years or more) otherwise not needed, current affairs are enough.
Above books are also relevant for mains also so read from mains point of view also.
